yes, I know - like many other things that are also not officially supported, but are working and are used by many customers... like USB controller passthrough or RDM passthrough of local disks...
However, the SCSI tape device works fine for me now and I just want to describe my experience in this case - maybe this could help others with similar SCSI device problems....
