Disabling LACP on a vDS

Hi,

We're in the process of upgrading our hosts to 5.5 and need to urgently drop them out of LACP just for a short period for various reasons without downtime. One of them being we shouldn't be using LACP with iscsi.

We have a distributed switch to which all the hosts are connected via 2 physical up-links which are in a port channel. These are used for both iscsi and management vmk's.

Currently the distributed switch is v5.1 and has LACP enabled in active mode and each port group set to ip hash load balancing. We have found changing the load balancing mode from ip hash means you lose network connectivity. The plan was to.....

1) Change load balancing policy to load based teaming

2) Disable LACP at the virtual switch level

3) Remove the physical ports from the port channel on the switch

Are there any recommendations for disabling LACP without losing connectivity? If you disabled LACP first at the virtual switch level would you lose connectivity until you updated the load balancing policy for each port group?

Thanks
